Weekly blog For this blog this week I will be talking about what I did throughout the week. On Monday we had to get two books. The two books names are "To kill a mocking bird" and another book. Also, we read a short story called "The Pie" by Gary Soto which is about a little kid who is Gary Soto that is little and is tempted to steal and get away with stealing something delicious. The,little boy stole an apple pie and ran and started eating it. The story is about him tempted and remembering about how hell is and the lectures that the nuns gave him. He avoided them and still ate it, after he did, he felt guilt and thinking if he goes to hell he will be thirsty forever and still feels bad stealing the pie from the market. Another thing we did was on Wednesday we had homework of Greek mythology and we learned about the gods and goddess's and compared them to Christianity. We drew a family tree or typed it and turned it in. I like this short story because for me it is interesting about temptation and it compares to real life being guilty. Also, there is lots of poetry such as allusions. In the short story, there is lots of comparisons of items. Another thing we did was that we drew the Mediterranean land. Right now we are drawing it and it is big and coming out well. It is due next Monday. We work in groups of four or more but at least four and no more. We learned of possession adjectives and pronouns. We did the grammar book and learned how to spot them and to know them. I enjoyed this weeks class on what we did. Here is the link to Greek mythology and a picture for this week.
