In this weeks blog I will be talking about what I have done over the week. This week will talk about what I did in ELA 8. There are fun things we did such as dress up learn and we are going to make monsters. We dressed up as popes because a week or two ago we made a pope brochure and presented it. Then on Tuesday when we went back to school after Monday, we dressed up as popes and talked to other kids about which pope we were and I was pope Paul V. We went to grill hall and many of our costumes were cool and one of the popes looked like Moses. I enjoyed that we got to share with many friends from the younger grades. Hopefully we can do something like that again some time. In ELA we learned about superlative adjectives and they aren't really hard but for me they seem pretty easy to learn. Tomorrow Friday we have a quiz about it and I hope I can get a good grade on it. Also this week, we read abou a book called "Ten Letters Americans Tell Their President' by Eli Saslow. In the first chapter the story starts by talking about two characters that need help with money and one of them sends a letter. The letter is sent to the president and he reads and responds. When on of the characters gets a letter back, they feel happy and feel inspired hat they can get money and get out of their debt by doing bankruptcy. Then I finish the first chapter and will soon do the second chapter. The idea of the book is to show how words can affect you and others and can change lives with just a few words. I know this is true and many people's lives have change by the power of words. For my 3D monster model due next Monday will be a man and machine that is the main character mistaken for someone bad. I might make it out of clay and bring and present the class my model. It might look grey and one or two feet tall. |
